Editorial Guidelines

SnapFetch publishes guides and tools for creators, marketers and small businesses. This document explains how we research, write, fact-check and update our content — and the standards we hold ourselves to.

Independence

We do not accept payment to influence the substance, ranking or recommendations in any article. Tool comparisons reflect real, hands-on testing.

Fact-checking

Every guide is reviewed against the current behavior of the platform it covers (Instagram, YouTube, etc.). Claims about formats, limits and policies are verified before publishing.

Updates

When a platform changes (resolution caps, rate limits, format support), affected articles are updated and the publication date is refreshed.

Expertise

Authors disclose the area they cover and their relevant experience. Finance content is reviewed by a CPA; SEO content is reviewed by an experienced practitioner.

Privacy

Our tools never log URLs, store downloads or share user data. Articles explain exactly what runs in the browser vs. on a server.

Corrections

Errors are corrected promptly. Material updates are noted at the bottom of the article with a date.

How we choose what to cover

We prioritize topics that solve real creator problems: downloading public content for archival or repurposing, generating transcripts for accessibility and SEO, and doing simple business math like VAT, sales tax and percentage calculations. We avoid clickbait topics that don't deliver real value.

How we fact-check

Before publishing, we run every workflow described in the article using the actual SnapFetch tool, on a real public post from the platform in question. Screenshots, format claims, resolution caps and rate-limit behavior are verified against the live platform — not against outdated forum threads.

How we handle AI

We use AI assistance for outlining and language polishing, but every article is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a human author before publication. We do not publish unreviewed AI-generated text. Articles authored or substantially edited by a specific person credit that person on the byline.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links may be affiliate links. We only recommend tools we have used ourselves, and affiliate status never changes our ranking or scoring. Disclosure appears in the site footer.
